A villager near Chisinau, Moldova spotted Smokey, a young stray dog wandering near the local church in poor condition. They called Svetlana, the founder of Animal Terra, who drove out to pick him up the same day.

When Svetlana got to him, Smokey was underweight and was in need of medical attention. She dewormed and vaccinated him, set him up with food, water shelter and has since been and has been checking on him daily during her regular rounds.

Smokey is a young dog who is still settling in, but he’s in good hands. He’s healthy, eating well, and getting the kind of consistent attention he wasn’t getting before.
