Named for adorable obvious reasons, Svetlana found this tiny, impossibly fluffy puppy alone on the street and placed him with a foster family, hoping he had finally caught a break. Then Fox went quiet and still, stopped eating, and started shaking violently. Something was wrong.

Svetlana rushed to pick him up and got him to the vet, where the news was frightening: Piroplasmosis, a tick-borne illness that can turn deadly within days. For two long days Fox hung on by a thread, and everyone who loved him held their breath.
