Ranger was found starving and alone inside an abandoned building with a devastating injury to his skull. He was in terrible condition and desperately needed help. The wound to his head was severe, and one of his eyes was too badly damaged to be saved.

Empathy Unlimited took Ranger into their care and made sure he received the medical treatment he needed. His injured eye had to be removed, but Ranger survived and slowly began to recover. As he healed, the frightened and starving dog they had rescued began to show everyone who he really was.

Today, Ranger is happy, energetic, and more than a little mischievous. He has earned himself a reputation as a troublemaker, which is a pretty wonderful problem to have considering where his story began. Ranger may still carry a visible reminder of what happened to him, but now he is safe, well-fed, loved, and free to simply enjoy being a dog.
