Chandani Animal Rescue and Care Center is the first and only animal shelter in Pokhara, Nepal. It was founded by Chandani Thapa Magar, who built the shelter from the ground up through her own determination, commitment and love for animals in need. Today the shelter is home to more than 40 animals, many of whom are injured, elderly, disabled, or in need of long-term medical care. They are given veterinary treatment, proper food, safe space to rest, daily hands-on attention and LOVE! This work is made possible largely through public donations from people who share Chandani’s deep love and respect for animals.
